November 15, 2008 Giving Thanks Gala: Honoring Drake University President David Maxwell Honorary Chair: Michael Gartner Iowa Events Center at Hy-Vee Hall, Downtown Des Moines
Best Buddies Iowa will honor Drake University President David Maxwell as the Spirit of Friendship Award recipient for Drake University’s outstanding efforts to support people with intellectual disabilities in Iowa.
The evening will begin at 6 p.m. and will include live jazz music and cocktail reception, silent/live auction, dinner, and brief program. Tickets are $75 per person.
All proceeds from the evening benefit Best Buddies Iowa, a 501 (c)(3) not-for-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of people with intellectual disabilities by providing opportunities for one-to-one friendships and integrated employment.
