November 14, 2008 Giving Thanks Gala: Honoring Drake University and President David Maxwell Des Moines, Iowa

Best Buddies Iowa will honor Drake University and President David Maxwell as the Spirit of Friendship Award recipient for Drake University’s outstanding efforts to support people with intellectual disabilities in Iowa.
The evening will begin at 6 p.m. and will include live jazz music and cocktail reception, silent/live auction, dinner, and brief program. Tickets are $75 per person.
All proceeds from the evening benefit Best Buddies Iowa, a 501 (c)(3) not-for-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of people with intellectual disabilities by providing opportunities for one-to-one friendships and integrated employment.

Best Buddies Iowa honored former Lieutenant Governor Sally Pederson as the Spirit of Friendship recipient for her work supporting people with disabilities on Saturday, November 17, 2007. All proceeds from the evening benefited Best Buddies Iowa, a 501 (c)(3) not-for-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of people with intellectual disabilities by providing opportunities for one-to-one friendships and integrated employment.

Ye be warned! Best Buddies' Midnight Madness is an off-the-wall scavenger hunt with teams consisting of 6-10 players representing numerous organizations on a quest that ends with a concert and/or DJ'd party open to all students on campus.
